Why COVID-19 webpage?

COVID-19 pandemic has altered the global scenario with in a very short period of time. No sphere of life remains unaffected. Education system being one of worst hit. It’s like a world war in which all countries on the earth are united to fight against coronavirus. Technology is playing a pivotal role in safeguarding the present civilization. Importance of application of information technology and internet in education never felt so hard before. It became like a blessing in disguise at this trying time.

Since the first instruction of the Government of West Bengal regarding postponing of all classes in colleges, teachers at Purash-Kanpur Haridas Nandi Mahavidyalaya started online classes for the benefit of the students. Thirty-two WhatsApp groups have been formed which are mimicking as virtual classrooms for different classes and subjects. In addition, Google Classrooms, Google meet video conferencing app, Zoom cloud conferencing app, Teamlink, etc. are being used by teachers for delivering lessons online. Teachers have planned to give online assessments and upload their study materials under departmental academic resources.

In this COVID-19 webpage all kinds of academic activities including extension activities are posted since the very first day of commencement of online classes.
